The 2017 Open winner’s girlfriend Annie Verret is sporting a whopping diamond ring.
News of the couple’s union was displayed on Twitter site Fore Play with the caption:
“Sad news this Christmas — looks like we lost a good man.”
Another Twitter feed from Golf Digest better reflected the spirit of the occasion by saying:
“Congrats, Jordan Spieth and Annie Verret!”

Annie is Spieth’s childhood sweetheart. They met at high school and have been an item ever since.
The couple have always tried to keep their relationship private.
But Spieth has shared a couple of rare glimpses into their relationship on Instagram.
For Verret’s birthday last year, Spieth shared a photo of the couple with caption, “Happy 23rd love!”

The American told reporters that golf took a backseat to his relationship with Annie, as well as his family.
“[Golf’s] not number one in my life,” he said. “And I’ll have a family of my own some day and that will be – golf will be fourth.
“So as of now, you know, my relationships I have with my best friends and my family and my girlfriend are second and golf’s third.”
