JORDAN SPIETH’S recurring nightmare came back to haunt him again as he found the water on the par-three 12th for the second year running.
The American’s dream of a second green jacket ended in a watery grave 12 months ago when he twice found Rae’s Creek.
And he hit his tee shot short again this year in the final round – just like 12 months ago – before racking up a double-bogey five.
Twitter users tore into two-time Major champion Spieth for his error – especially after he said Augusta bosses could not “Jordan-proof” the course.
One user wrote: “Jordan Spieth finds the water AGAIN on 12 on a Sunday at The Masters… a tradition unlike any other.”
Another said: “The demons are still there.”
